Euclid Avenue Planters

How it Started

CPA is collaborating with the Downtown Cleveland Alliance (DCA) to bring the work of artists and designers to the streets of downtown. The Euclid Avenue planter project is one accomplishment of this collaboration.

Other Facts

Mark A. Reigelman II, a Cleveland Institute of Art graduate, was commissioned to design decorative planters for lower Euclid Avenue. The shape of the planters suggests the paper wrapping that might surround a bouquet of flowers purchased from a street vendor.

The planters are designed for seasonal plantings that enhance the visual character of Euclid Avenue. Through its ongoing downtown beautification program, ParkWorks has taken the lead on the design and installation of the plantings.

The planter installation was completed on June 6, 2009.
