6th Annual City Xpressionz Urban Art Festival

Cleveland Public Art and Cleveland-area Scion dealerships present the sixth annual City Xpressionz Urban Art Festival. City Xpressionz recognizes hip-hop music, dance, graffiti art, and other underground art forms as the works that shape a city's artistic voice. Transforming Ohio City's Market Square Park, City Xpressionz claims the street corner's blank canvas and creates art throughout the day. By bringing art into a neighborhood, City Xpressionz turns the community into an art gallery. City Xpressionz is free to watch.
Aerosol Painting/Writing
Interested artists of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to paint a vinyl canvas during the event, which will also be eligible for a cash prize. Participating artists must bring their own paint, caps, respirators, and other supplies. Along with filling out the registration form, writers must pay a $10 fee for their canvas, which artists can keep after the festival. Canvases will be made available on a first registered, first come, first served basis.

Bboy/Bgirl Battle
Interested Bboys/Bgirls must pay a $5 entry fee to enter the battle and fill out a registration form. The Battles will consist of three competitions: Power Moves, Footwork, and Bboy/Bgirl of the Day.

MC Battle
Interested MCs must pay a $5 fee to enter the MC Battle and participants must register in advance. Any profanity during a performance will result in immediate disqualification.

If the registration form is emailed, payment must follow by mail or by phoning in credit card information. Make checks payable to Cleveland Public Art and indicate the name of the participant(s).
